The club runs a number of teams including:
- 2 Saturday XIs (Western Union Div 2 and Div 5) - 100 over match, max of 15 overs per bowler, with win/lose/draw. There are 4 divisions of 10 teams (18 matches) whilst the 5th has 12 teams (22 matches).
- a Sunday XI (Strathclyde Sunday League Div 1) - 40 overs a side, max of 8 overs per bowler, win/lose. Here there are 3 divisions of 6 sides giving 10 matches so whilst the standard is varied it is generally better than Division 4 of Western Union
- a Midweek XI (Glasgow Evening League & Cups) - 20 overs a side, max of 5 overs per bowler brings you Twenty20 West of Scotland style

We welcome new players of all standards so if you are interested in joining a friendly cricket club which plays both social and competitive cricket in pleasant surroundings, please contact one of the office bearers or simply come along to our
indoor nets at Glasgow Academy (Mon 18:30-19:30) and Hamilton Crescent (Sun 14:00-16:00).
The
"Uni Staff" is an entirely inclusive, friendly and welcoming club,
boasting players currently from the cricketing powerhouses of the
world, Australia, India, Pakistan, West Indies, Yorkshire and even
England. We also embrace those from the less well known
cricketing hotbeds as Broomhill, Buckie and Brighton! The
club is truly an embodiment of the "Town and Gown" ethos endorsed by
the University with Professors, Doctors and Alumni, batting alongside,
and usually being run out by locals and visitors from around the world.
The original, and still best,
GUSCC website is now available here with
all the huge amount of time and effort Matt Baker put into it still
clearly visible to all. His website also works consistently,
don't bet on that here!
This website is a new venture
for some involved so please believe us when we say all feedback,
comments and noted errors will be greatly appreciated and welcomed, so

2008 Review
Another typical Scottish summer meant we had a bit of a stop start season. However we still managed to play 54 matches this year, 17 were won, 22 lost, 10 drawn and 5 abandoned all, funnily enough, due to rain.
After a promising start both the Saturday sides managed to finish outside the relegation positions in their respective Western Union Divisions. More consistent performances next season, and a bit more luck with the weather, will hopefully ensure we evade the relegation dog fights. After winning the Strathclyde League and Strathclyde Shield in 2007 we were rather disappointed to come 3rd this season behind Paisley and West of Scotland.
